    Dear Mary McCormack,

As someone who has written several hundred monostich haiku, I keep coming back to this, and getting more and more out of it.

From the vineyards (France for me) to either a French, or Italian wine bar, or even my local Wine Monkey in Chippenham, and in the past as a Wine waiter/manager of a French/Italian restaurant, its light has caught me since six years old.

Six?! Well, my father was a Francophile, so we drank red wine (and white wine) in the South of France, mostly around Fréjus, once a small town back in the day.

Ah, those little prepositions they can really make or break a haiku!

That single word ‘within’ says far more than just its balancing act as a small part of our golden syntax.
